Zertteushi Education accepts original research-based, methodological, and practice-oriented articles in the field of education and pedagogical practice for publication.

Manuscripts are accepted in Kazakh, Russian, and English.

The journal is included in the Register of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Publications in the journal are taken into account during the attestation of teachers in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Only manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not simultaneously under consideration by other journals are accepted. All submitted materials undergo preliminary editorial screening, originality checking, and peer review.

For research articles, the IMRaD (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion) structure is recommended. Practice-oriented articles may follow a different structure, provided that the purpose, content, results, and conclusions are presented clearly and systematically.

The article length should be 1,500–2,000 words, including tables and the reference list.

The minimum required originality score is 60%.

The publication fee for an article accepted by the editorial board is KZT 5,000. Payment is made after the article has been accepted for publication.

The author is responsible for the accuracy of the data presented, correct citation and referencing, compliance with copyright requirements, and adherence to research and publication ethics.

Publication Requirements

1. Originality of the Manuscript

The submitted article must be original and must not have been previously published.

Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal is not permitted.

All submitted materials are checked using plagiarism-detection software. The minimum required originality score is 60%.

Plagiarism, improper borrowing, and self-plagiarism are not permitted. Ideas, research findings, data, and text excerpts taken from other sources must be properly acknowledged and accompanied by appropriate references to the original sources.

2. Structure of a Research Article

Articles based on research findings should follow the international IMRaD structure.

Introduction

The Introduction should include:

• the relevance of the topic and the research problem;
• a brief review of existing studies and approaches;
• the aim and objectives of the research;
• the significance of the study for educational practice.

Methods

This section should include:

• a description of the research design;
• characteristics of the participants or sample;
• data collection methods;
• data analysis methods;
• information on compliance with ethical standards, including participants’ voluntary consent and data confidentiality.

Results

This section should present:

• the main findings of the study;
• the empirical data obtained;
• tables, charts, and figures where appropriate;
• a brief analytical commentary on the findings presented.

Discussion

This section should include:

• interpretation of the findings;
• comparison of the findings with previously published studies;
• discussion of the limitations of the study;
• consideration of the practical significance of the results.

Conclusion

The Conclusion should include:

• the main findings and conclusions of the study;
• practical recommendations;
• possible directions for further research.

Practice-oriented and methodological articles may follow a different structure; however, they should include a clearly stated purpose, a coherent presentation of the content, results or practical experience, and well-supported conclusions.

3. Article Length and Formatting

The article should be 1,500–2,000 words, including tables and the reference list.

Main formatting requirements:

• file format — Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx);
• font — Times New Roman;
• font size — 12 pt;
• line spacing — 1.5;
• margins — 2 cm on all sides;
• first-line indent — 1.25 cm;
• headings and subheadings should follow a consistent hierarchical structure.

4. Title, Abstract, and Keywords

The manuscript should include:

1. article title;
2. information about the author(s);
3. an abstract of 100–150 words;
4. 5–7 keywords;
5. the main text of the article;
6. reference list;
7. appendices, where applicable.

The abstract should briefly reflect the purpose of the article, the methods or approach used, the main results, and the conclusions.

5. In-text Citations and References

In-text citations and the reference list should be formatted according to APA Style, 7th edition.

Examples of in-text citations:

• one author: (Akhmetova, 2023);
• two authors: (Kassenova & Sadykova, 2022);
• three or more authors: (Zhumabayeva et al., 2021).

Book:

Journal article:

All sources cited in the article must be included in the reference list. Sources that are not cited in the main text should not be included in the reference list.

6. Tables and Figures

All tables, figures, diagrams, and charts should:

• be numbered consecutively;
• have a title;
• be clear and of sufficient quality;
• include a source citation if the data or image is not the author’s own.

Appendices should be placed after the reference list.

7. Language Requirements

The journal accepts articles in:

• Kazakh;
• Russian;
• English.

The text should be logically structured and grammatically and stylistically accurate. The author is responsible for the language quality of the submitted manuscript.

The editorial board may recommend additional language or stylistic editing before the manuscript is accepted for publication.

8. Author Information

The following information should be provided for each author:

• full name;
• place of employment;
• position;
• contact e-mail address;
• ORCID, if available;
• a brief 2–3-line description of the author’s research or professional activities.

9. Ethical Information

Where applicable, the author should provide information on:

• the presence or absence of any conflict of interest;
• sources of research funding;
• procedures for obtaining participants’ consent;
• measures taken to ensure confidentiality and anonymisation of data.

Peer Review Process

All materials submitted to Zertteushi Education undergo editorial screening and peer review.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon receipt of a manuscript, the editorial team checks:

• whether the manuscript is relevant to the scope of the journal;
• whether all required structural elements are included;
• compliance with the main formatting requirements;
• completeness of the author information;
• compliance with language and technical requirements.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic requirements may be returned to the author for revision before being sent for peer review.

2. Originality Check

The manuscript is checked using plagiarism-detection software.

The minimum required originality score is 60%.

The editorial team also evaluates the nature of any identified text matches. Improper borrowing, plagiarism, or substantial self-plagiarism may constitute grounds for rejection.

3. Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for anonymous peer review.

The following criteria are considered during the review process:

• relevance and significance of the topic;
• quality of the theoretical rationale;
• appropriateness of the methodology;
• validity of the results and conclusions;
• practical or research-methodological significance;
• coherence and structure of the manuscript;
• quality of the use of sources;
• compliance with research and publication ethics.

4. Decision Based on the Review

Following the review, one of the following decisions may be made:

• recommend the article for publication;
• recommend publication after revisions;
• return the manuscript to the author for substantial revision;
• reject the manuscript.

Where necessary, the author is provided with comments and recommendations for revising the article.

5. Revision of the Manuscript

The author makes the necessary revisions taking into account the comments of the reviewer and the editorial team.

After the revised version has been reconsidered, the editorial team makes the final decision regarding publication.

The editorial team reserves the right to carry out language and technical editing of the manuscript without altering the author’s position or the content of the research.

Publication Ethics

The editorial policy of Zertteushi Education is based on the principles of academic integrity, objectivity, transparency, and respect for copyright.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are required to:

• submit only original work;
• avoid plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and improper borrowing;
• properly acknowledge the authorship of all ideas, data, and sources used;
• provide accurate and reliable research results;
• refrain from fabricating or falsifying data;
• avoid submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one publication;
• list all individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the preparation of the article;
• disclose any potential conflicts of interest;
• indicate sources of research funding, where applicable;
• respect the rights and confidentiality of research participants;
• promptly notify the editorial team if a significant error is identified after submission or publication of the article.

Authorship

Only individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the design of the study, analysis of the results, and preparation of the manuscript should be listed as authors.

It is not acceptable to include individuals who did not participate in the preparation of the work or to exclude individuals who made a substantial intellectual contribution.

Plagiarism and Improper Borrowing

The editorial team does not accept manuscripts containing plagiarism, improper citation, substantial unattributed borrowing, or self-plagiarism.

All quotations, ideas, data, and materials taken from other authors must be accompanied by an appropriate reference to the original source.

Research Ethics

When conducting research involving human participants, authors must adhere to the principles of voluntary participation, confidentiality, and protection of personal data.

Where required, authors must obtain informed consent from participants or their legal representatives.

Personal data of research participants must be anonymised unless its disclosure has been separately agreed upon.

Conflict of Interest

Authors are required to inform the editorial team of any circumstances that may affect the objective presentation or interpretation of the research findings.

Where no conflict of interest exists, the author may state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are required to:

• evaluate submitted materials objectively;
• maintain confidentiality;
• refrain from using unpublished data or ideas from authors for personal purposes;
• inform the editorial team of any potential conflict of interest;
• provide well-reasoned and professional comments and recommendations.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Team

The editorial team makes publication decisions based on the quality of the submitted materials, their relevance to the scope of the journal, and their compliance with publication ethics.

Editorial decisions must not discriminate against authors on the basis of gender, age, nationality, place of employment, social status, or any other circumstances unrelated to the content and quality of the manuscript.

The editorial team ensures the confidentiality of materials submitted for consideration and takes appropriate action when violations of publication ethics are identified.
