The TESOL-SPAIN Madrid 2027 international conference is now accepting proposals from prospective speakers. The conference will take place 12–14 March 2027 in Madrid, Spain.

TESOL-SPAIN 2027 Invites English Teachers to Submit Proposals

In 2027, TESOL-SPAIN will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The conference, themed “50 Years: Past Perfect, Future Continuous,” will bring together English language teachers, educators, teacher trainers, researchers, and other professionals in the field of English language teaching.

Call for Papers

The organizers have opened the Call for Papers, inviting proposals from prospective conference speakers.

Participants can submit proposals based on their teaching experience, research findings, classroom practices, innovative approaches, and ideas related to English language teaching and learning.

The conference will explore the development of the profession through the experience of the past and current changes in education, including emerging research, technology, evolving educational contexts, and learners’ changing needs.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is 15 October 2026.

Global Schools Prize 2026–2027: An award with a US$1 million prize fund

Applications and nominations for the 2026–2027 Global Schools Prize are expected to open in September 2026. Established by the Varkey Foundation, this international award recognises schools that are transforming education and developing effective solutions for their students and communities. The total prize fund is US$1 million. Under the structure used for the inaugural award cycle, ten category winners each receive US$50,000. One of these schools is then selected as the overall winner and receives an additional US$500,000 to develop and scale its impact.
