Free British Council Online Conference for English Language Teachers
From 19 to 30 October 2026, the international ASEAN TeachingEnglish Online Conference 2026, organised by TeachingEnglish British Council, will take place online. The theme of the 2026 conference is “Teaching with purpose: Quality, equity and human connection in English education.”
Over two weeks, English language teachers, teacher trainers, and researchers will be able to join a series of online sessions focused on current issues in English language teaching.
Key conference topics include:
— the use of artificial intelligence in English language teaching;
— modern approaches to assessment and feedback;
— inclusive education;
— learner-centred teaching and learner autonomy;
— teacher professional development;
— Communities of Practice;
— teacher and learner well-being.
Invited speakers include representatives of Lancaster University, the University of Warwick, UNESCO, SEAMEO RELC, and other educational organisations.
The conference will be held fully online. Participants can choose the webinars that are most relevant to them and attend individual sessions. Separate registration is required for the first and second weeks of the conference.
Participation and Certificate
Participation in the conference is free of charge. TeachingEnglish webinars are open to participants from different countries, so teachers from Kazakhstan can also register and take part in the sessions.
Participants who register and attend a webinar via Zoom can receive a Certificate of Attendance. According to TeachingEnglish, the certificate is sent by email within 72 hours after the live webinar.
Recordings of the webinars will also be made available after the conference on the event page and the TeachingEnglish YouTube channel.
